Fishing is truly an art form and without the tenacity you might as well give up as I often did when I fished with friends, many hours without a bite! A poignant write, love Dolly x

This speaks of those halcyon, carefree days of our youth when we would go camping with family and friends during the summer months, Dan.
I don't believe it is written in any particular form or meter, but is gets the point across adequately enough.

Dan, it is my opinion that every young person should learn how to fish, clean the fish and eat the fish carefully. Nice written take on the picture this challenge. Patricia

I like how each set of verses starts with the same letter. This reminds me of camping trips when I was young. I once used a safety pin for a hook! (didn't catch anything) Loved this, blessings...

Hi Dan,
what a nice entry for this contest
I like the idea of you showing how fishing with a Bamboo pole cause the child to feel like she wants to sing.

What a sweet (and tasty) use of words to describe the joy of fishing and enjoying the fruits of one's own labor. The final stanza about cleaning the fish is so true to my own childhood experience - but didn't keep me off the dock either. I really enjoyed your offering for the Picture This challenge and love seeing the diversity of thoughts we put out there from the same source of inspiration. - Wendy

Fishing with a bamboo pole. Brings back several fond memories.

Well written poem captures its theme spot on.

And, the best part of fishing is eating your catch then going back for another one.
