I really enjoyed this refreshing poem about childhood. It reminded me much of myself, always in trees and dreaming of far away places. I thought this was very well written, and I like the soft color scheme. Thank you for sharing, and best of luck in the contest! :)

In the Rob Reiner directed film adaptation of author Stephen King's novella, "The Body", which was titled, "Stand By Me" for the film, one of the main characters in the film, Gordon Lachance, an author, could be seen banging away on his word processor near the end.
This is what he wrote: Writer: "Although I haven't seen him in more than ten years I know I'll miss him forever. I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve.
Jesus, does anybody?"
I believe much can be said about our imaginations as we grow older, at least for some. Life chokes the magic out of us.
Nice writing.
Best of luck...

lovely descriptions with humorous mention of tiny dinosaurs and parrots playing on a beach.
perfect picture accompanying your poem.

This speaks a fantasy thought of childhood; it would have been wonderful if he could dream again wild fantasies like those when he was ten; I liked this art work of sonnet.

Beautiful, inspirational poem. Brought back memories of escaping from a large family up my own special tree, to dream a little, read, pray, hope I was missed, then climb back down and go home for dinner.A visual symphony. Cheers

A very moving piece, which I rarely find so engaging both in expression and in topic. I enjoyed this heavily as many parts of your piece genuinely returned me to those similar emotions associated with childhood.
Your word use was on spot in adhering to both the rhyme scheme, and to the appeal of the reader. I can tell you placed a lot of effort into this and it shows at many angles. Great picture and overall presentation. Truly a treat. Thank you
