GBR,
Six stars for the use of the word clemency as well as the Haiku Anthology plug. Way to go Lady Blue! The image you paint works perfectly with your choice of words. Most enjoyable read.

I am just totally blown away by the beauty of this haiku. You are the master, and this is no exception. The words brought tears to my eyes. Stunning satori "clemency" in the last line.

Bravo!

You evoked some pathos here, making the reader (at least me) feel with the sick tree. And then wonder if the sickness was caused by us, humans, with our abominable consumption and polution of a healthy environment that the tree needs.

Well, these are the ramblings of a wanna-be poet.

Cheers,
Apky

Hi Gypsy, Well done I like this Haiku it really portrays how the sick tree in a last ditch effort tries to grasp the last light to stay alive ( black spot) kils a lot of trees and plants. I thought clemency was a great Satori. ( I have ordered the anthology and look forward to getting my copies) Book two on the way by the looks of it. Cheers Christineð???ð???
