How you managed to capture the very essence of a Frenchman's garden (and his personality) with this charming story in only one hundred words is most impressive. This is flawless. Best of luck in the booth.

Gorgeous one hundred word story based on a gorgeous painting; what a great interpretation! I don't see anything that needs to be corrected. Great job!

I applaud you - I don't think I could write a story in 100 words... I'm afraid I always have too much to say...
a good entry for the contest - good luck to you, my friend.

This is a story of offer of love of a lonely man to a lovely woman with a rose, hoping to get something more in return some day; the widow woman responses positively; I liked.

Hello my friend
Beautiful presentation and the poem matches the flash fiction story perfectly as if made for each other. We're they? I don't think it's wrong. I get inspired by pictures too. :)

Wonderful job with this! I've read several of these 100 words stories today. There are some that are funny, some that are sad. This one is the most romantic one I've read. I especially love the man's reply to the woman's question about flirting with a widow. I thought his words were extremely romantic and sweet. They leave the reader hoping that these two really do find a way to be together in the future. Well done! Best of luck to you in the contest. :)

Very nice work on this 100 word story. I thought you painted the scene nicely and left just enough to keep us wondering what will happen ... someday.
Today she stopped. --Suggest comma after Today.
Good luck int he contest.
Take care,
Russell

This is a charming and well-flowing short piece of just 100 words. Illustrated well with Renoir's painting. Sometimes I think how past generations were able to speak their mind without offense to either party, for instance here: She frowned. "You flirt with a--a widow, sir!"
"No, a lonely man gives a lovely woman a rose, hoping she'll return for more . . . someday." Well done. Marilyn

I am delighted you enjoyed my interpretation of Renoir's wonderful painting, Marilyn. Yes, I tried to think of how a couple might speak back then. Glad you liked those lines.
