Howie and Bernie jumped up on the bed and each took a spot on either side of her. Howie propped his head on her leg, and Bernie snuggled close to her side. If she was having a tough time, they would be right there for her.
~ I could picture this; how sweet! You're lucky with those two faithfuls...

Hi Aki; they certainly are great dogs. I've been writing about them and editing the older stories all weekend. I need to bring 20 stories to a web master for a Veterinarian site on Friday. He will take the best 10 - and I'm getting paid!!!

Yay! Way to go. Bernie and Howie will have a great treat on payday.

The kennel awaiting both. Neither would like that. It is amazing how they know
what to do when their people are having a bad day. It doesn't seem confusing
except for this one line, where you use 'waiting' instead of awaiting. I wonder
where the Simba is?

Hi; thank you so much for reading. The stories about Howie and Bernie are about the dogs I have now. Simba, Leo, and Harley are pets I had back in 2011 or so. I have compiled a book of stories about my pets over they years,

Hi Patty, wonderful descriptions of the dogs and their POV's when their Mistress is having a bad day. Animals are such a wonderful comfort and they truly know when we are not feeling well.

Hi,
I write from Omniscient POV, and it's my favourite. I liked it, and it was not confusing at all. For me it works better, because I like to know what the other character (in this case, dog) feels and thinks.
You show well how they understand their mistress well, how she feels. I loved the dogs body language descriptions.

Thank you for following along. I appreciate your feedback about the POV, and I think this is my preferred writing style, too.

Good morning, Patty
Interesting how pets can quickly adapt to a given routine. Deviate from it and they don't know what to expect (my four go a bit rammy until I complete the routine). Enjoyed.
Take care and stay safe,

Patty,
I enjoyed your story. It read fine to me, but I am not the best judge for the process.
I thought your bad day meant you had a migraine.
I love how you wrote about how the animals waited for you to wake up. My kitty likes to stand on me & lick my eyelashes.
I can tell you love your 'babies' & that they love you.
I may have missed some of these stories so I will go back when I have time & catch up.
Good job & thanks for sharing & caring. Jan

You have managed to convey the close friendship bond shared between animals and a human through Bernie and Howie's loyal relationship to their owner. They trust and love her.

I see no problem, but I would stick with one character's pov for a long time, with a clearly defined transition. But that's me. Anything works if you have the art to pull it off. You made it work rather well this time. Fivers.

Considering the points of view are from pooches I think it is fine.
I always enjoy reading about Bernie and Howie even if it is about one of the Mistress's bad days.
Very entertaining!
