Thank you so much for the wonderful and supportive review. I like sciences, too, but they can quickly become boring for youngsters, especially when all they hear is the droning on of a teacher lecturing. I've always tried to step up the fun factor, but felt I needed a complete overhaul. I appreciate your feedback on it.

    Take care,
    Rhonda

-Another interesting and well written chapter, Rhonda.
-I appreciate your descriptions of the slides.
-I also enjoyed more of the participation from the
students as they are getting used to this method.
-They seem very enthusiastic and involved,
which is also a credit to you and your encouragement
and rapport with them.
-They also aren't afraid to ask questions about what they
don't understand.
-I like the idea you present at the end about the recommendations.

    Thank you, Pam!
I appreciate all you do to encourage and assist me. You are an invaluable friend.

One think about my students, is they aren't afraid to speak up! Sometimes a little too much.

What I'm doing is creating a conglomerate class with all the students I have as "case studies" so I don't have to discuss the separate class periods.

They are all real questions and comments, though, just sort of put together in one class.

Again, thank you for the generous rating and comments.

    Take care,
    Rhonda

You are very welcome and deserving, Rhonda, as well as a good friend. I did feel that all the questions were actually from the students, and that is part of the uniqueness of this project. It is also so great to see someone making a real effort to do something different in the classroom.

Thank you, and I really do hope it all works out in the end. It's a long process, and I want it to make a difference in their lives.

You are welcome, Rhonda. It comes through that you do want to make a difference, and I think between yourself and the students it will work out.

Hello Rhonda,
So, we step into the future,
are you sure this is a chemistry class and not a business class.
CC's and Fortune Six, sounds like Bit Coins and Big Business
In my day cc's were cubic centimeters and the fortune six were the top jocks
The key is involvement, if the students buy in, the course will be energized
by the interaction and structure
Excellent chapter, good luck with book

Thank you for the wonderful review, my friend!

It is a bit like business, but the point is to unite the kids and give them a challenge. Chemistry just happens. haha.
CC's is a tie in to cubic centimeters, which is the same thing as ml, which is what we measure in. Great job of picking up on that.

Thanks for always being there to review and give your slant on things.

    Take care,
    Rhonda

Sounds like this learning experience is off to a good start. Students appear receptive at this point. At least you held their attention.
One suggestion:
'Like John, I had their attention'. The way this is written, it sounds as if John has their attention. I think you mean 'I held their attention, just as I had John's.'

Excellent. Boy, things sure have changed since I went to school. In the fifties, there were no computers or smartphones. This is well written and interesting.

Things have changed pretty quickly for all of us, too! A few years ago, an overhead projector was the big technology!! Ah, well, lick 'em or join'em. I decided on the latter. It's been a lot of fun.

    Thanks for the review,
    Rhonda

G'day, Padna.

Okay, so now you have me reading about this new-fangled education stuff!

Crikey, I don't know if I can keep up with the other students, but I'll try. If I can't I'll just go outside and pick up rubbish in the school grounds! I'm good at that lol.

"I switched the PowerPoint to the next slide." (Wow, an electric slide! How cool.)

"Well, you have your c(C)hromebooks and cellphones." (I think "cellphones" should be "cell phones" or maybe just in Aus.)

"A boy responded. "What are CC's?" (Well, derrrrrrr! Even I know that! They are corn chips! Sheeeeeesh!)

"Chemistry Capital," (Oooooppppsssss. Maybe not... Should "capital" be "capitol" as in the diagram?)

"I mean, aren't assign(n)ments always marked down if they aren't turned in on time?"

"There will be a hard deadline each week of about three assingments." (Assignments)

" at the end of the year to use in interviews for scholorships(scholarships), college entrances, or job interviews."

Very interesting stuff, sis. The idea of using technology in the classroom is good, but it might put teachers out of work... well I'm old. lol

Great job.

Cheers Fez

Thank you, Padna. I appreciate the stars and the comments. I am so glad you decided to check out my educational model. I need your unique input. Funny, I wouldn't let you go pick up rubbish. I'd have had you help me in the classroom. Free help, can't argue with that!!
    Or maybe I would. haha.
You would cook us up an interesting lunch, that's for sure.

I'll fix the errors, my friend.

    Take care,

"I had his attention. Now what was I going to do with it?"
Awesome truth any time one tries to 'get through' to a young mind!

Only typo:
"...week about three (assignments)...

Well, if I'd had teachers like you, I might have made it far enough to study Chemistry. This is fascinating.
