It has always been believed what goes Round come around and it happens when you least expects it. So be it says the Lord. There is a reason for everything and everything has a reason. Keep the faith.

what has always been believed is not always true. I disagree with your summation being approved by the Lord. The faith for me is the Christian faith as delineated in the Word of God. Thanks for the review.

ALL talent comes from God, Dennis.

ALL...TALENT!

Author Stephen King's talent for writing comes from the exact same place as Mother Teresa's, or poet/writer Maya Angelo. It is a God-given ability.

Satan can create nothing. He is nothing more an Equal Opportunity Destroyer; incapable of creating anything good.
Do all books glorify God?
No, they do not.
Does God expect everything to be written about Him?, Does He even care, if every...single...thing...we ....write pertains to religion, Christ, or God?
Does that make horror novels or detective thrillers--or true life crime stories, for example-- Satanic, evil, or unworthy of reading?
No, it does not.
It simply makes them literature.
You have to find a good balance between the Word of God, and everything else.
I feel God understands that much more than most people think.
He does not want mindless "robots" for followers, nor hypocrites.
He wants people who love Him, and who are true to His word, and true to themselves as well.
Respectfully,
~Dean

I don't agree with you Dean and part of my previous communication with you was based on what you told me about your past
experiences with horrible dreams etc. You responded with a long [ist of all your good deeds. Please show me from history any writer of the macabre who was a Christian? What occupies the heart and mind of a writer comes out in his writing. Scripture has a general guideline of the Christian doing ALL things to the glory of the Lord. I can't see a blood drenched story or novel doing that. Dennis

Judge not lest ye be judged in kind, sir.
Who are YOU to say someone is not a Christian?

    Are you God?

    Do YOU know their hearts?
    No, only God Himself does.

I cannot make the claim whether someone is or isn't, so it is impossible for me to answer your question.

Quite frankly, it is religious hypocritical bigots like you who give Christians and Christianity a bad name.
    ...with all due respect.

I never once said you were not a Christian. I'm only saying Christians are called to glorify God in all things. Of course this is not possible except through His Spirit who is available to all Christians. In fact, we are called to "grow in grace" and seek to please God and not men. I'm sure no none Christian would have a problem with your writing. In fact, you are very popular here for your writings. Question is, do they please God and will there be an eternal reward for them? Are they building builders up in their most holy faith as we are called to do?

Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edge sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints from the marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.

2 Timothy 3: 16 & 17: All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully competent for every good work.

I believe exactly with what you are saying about the bible. It is one of the most wide spread books ever written. Possibly almost every home in the world has at least one bible in it, somewhere. Sadly it is just like you say. Most people have a bible but they never pick it up to read it. But the bible is like any other book. When an Author writes a book they fully intend that someone read it. To fully understand any book we must read it from the beginning to the end, from cover to cover.

If we do read the whole book, the Bible, we would see just how alive it is and have a clearer understanding of its Author. Every story that God had written into the bible is put there for a purpose and an overall theme. The bible is poetic and the words speak of a Superior being. There is no greater Writer, no greater Poet, No greater Artist than God.

It is like when Boss has his Secretary type a letter. He verbally dictates that letter as she writes it down. Once this Secretary has completed this letter she/he will still type in that Bosses name and that Boss will sign his name to the letter because these although the Secretary wrote the words down, the words belong to the Boss who dictated the letter. The same is with the bible .

I could go on and on in agreement with you but thank you for your story. If I had a six I would give it to this story.

Well, thank you. I must say, most biblical teachers I respect would disagree with the mechanical dictation method you suggest. I think it better to see they were "carried along" by the Holy Spirit. Their hearts and brains were empowered by the Spirit to teach and write God's Word. Even their personalities were not bypassed but enhanced by the Spirit. Hope you find this worth considering! God bless, Dennis

Easy said; author comments rightly, how true, live, influencing, practical guiding to living book is the Bible and how faith in God and His Words can influence a writer to scribe God's guided thoughts to teach and preach spiritual existence of God and His act as incessant spirit for writing on righteous living; I liked, much influenced and learnt the truth in a new perspective from the exemplification; I can relate to the faith the author percolated, a 6-STAR for an endeavour worthy of faith.

It's true in the glorifying name of Lord. This reminds me of Ramayana and Geeta too sharing the same with so many dimensions pictured in ineffable literature skills. I believe this will be the same with all other holy books too since the religion, language and quill might change but the supreme poet who penned his thoughts is the same. Thanks for such detailed words of His majesty.
Have a nice day. Namaskaram

You are free to believe what you like about all the holy books but the Bible claims for itself the authorship of God.

2 Peter 1:16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: ?This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.? 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,[a] which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,[b] 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God[c] spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

I love the way you present the Bible, not just as a spiritual guide, but a beautiful literary work.

My father loved to quote different scriptures because of the way they sounded. He loved the bits of advice as well.

One of his favorite verses was "Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise" (Prov 6:6).

He loved the beauty of many scriptures, and I'm so happy to see someone else feeling the same way about a wonderful work of art, as well as a guide through life and faith.

Take care, my friend,
Rhonda

If only more people would simple open the Bible up and read what it says.

This world would indeed be a much, much better place!

As I said countless times, and wrote about the topic myself:

"Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary."

And, everything else will take care of itself.
