Hello, my friend,

Nice haiku with a clear mental image of a sunset. I like the word, sultry. Your form is good less than 17, 3 lines, as brief as possible, and an insightful satori.

Yes, yes, yes! Sky explodes! I have spent the last two weeks in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and the sky does explode in colors after the sun sets. Your poem is everything I have seen:

sultry sun
melts into dark blue waves
sky explodes

    I'm so glad you "got" my haiku! Thank you so much for the lovely review. I live on the West Coast by the water, and the sky does truly "explode" on those evenings.

'Sultry Sun' is a great Sunset Haiku.
It consists of three lines.
Each line has a syllable count: 3-6-3
Total syllable count: 12
Beautiful artwork: The image is a perfect fit for this poem.

Well, I have to say I like this. Your last line. I don't think "surrender," of course, is really involved, but that's dependent upon point of view, eh?

    You totally get my point of view. All life is about procreation, in fact the day and night do exactly that. Thank you for this "exceptional" - it means the world to me. But I did have to change the last line - "no personification" is a rule. But I believe this has the same impact.
