Verra amoosing-a! Cleverly done. I 'heard' myself speaking your accented lines in my head.

Good disclaimer, though. My two politically correct daughters jumped down my throat when I wrote an Italian rap song! (Something about ethnic appropriation ... sigh)

I loved it ...

Chuckles and best wishes, poem lover!

Hugs and smiles,

Sonali xx

A very well-written fun poem. When we get a ticket from a cop, how we wish the wind will come up and blow it away at that moment, not that it will make any difference.

This poem, Italian Getting Speeding Ticket, is a unique look at this subject. It is funny and seems to have come together to rhyme as well. Nice.

I love the muse in your head that tells these delightful stories with such a phonetically rich and humorous voice. (I enjoyed your dentist poem too and must review) I find my best work just comes out in one fluid hit, like someone is whispering in my ear - I'm trying to say that whoever is whispering in your ear is doing a great job!

thank you very much, Flossie. That means a lot to me. I guess I'm sort of a Dave Barry wannabe. Maybe he's sending me silly thoughts. I'll pass your compliments to him. :)
    PS
That's how I write, too - referring to your mode of writing. All at once. It just comes. Isn't it a blast!

If only the wind was so beneficial all the time! Amusing use of colours in pseudo Italian, even when not actually a colour, ie blue for blew. Straightforward graphic provides contrast to humour.

thank you. Yes, there were times I could have used the wind.

Made me laugh out loud, and the fact that some of the colours you used were stretching plausability to the limit, only makes the poem funnier. An excellent entry for this contest.

What's a reviewer recommendation, and do you need them to get into the contest?
reply by the author on 22-Mar-2017
you don't need them to get into a contest. After someone reviews your post and you reply, thanks, etc. if the person has been helpful, it asks if you'd like to nominate him/her as a good reviewer. You only get so many a month - I think 5. If that person gets so many nominations, they get "recognized."
I'm sorry, but who is this? This shows your wonderful review, but no name.

I loved it although Italians never talk like this. Probably kinda insulting.
This cracked me up:

If-a olive to be a hundred, I'll-a never forget
My pink-a ticket sail away fast-a, like a jet.
I had my misgivings on this one but had to rate it a fiver!

    Treilblazer -
    thanks for the 5.
I get teased - as do most Southerners and Texans - for our speech, all the time. We do not take offense. This was an exaggeration, of course - because it suited the script dialogue. I'm glad you liked it. Hoped it would crack you up.
What are you saying re: those two lines?
