An interesting chapter. I like how you cast doubt and then prolonged the decision to act on involving the cousin. It set the mood and tone for waiting and to not act hastily. The pool game was a good diversion from having to decide right away. Nicely done.

Ah, looks like Phillip did hit a nerve. Nicely done. I like how you have let this sneak into the storyline. I have been wondering if Anderson is trustworthy or working both sides of the fence. A well-written chapter and you left a nice hook at the end.

I enjoyed the snippet of information presented and how the characters chatted at an easy pace. The chapter had me wanting to follow on with what happens next.

Well, well, well, Shana did not go to bed. I can tell by Anderson's reaction that Philip hit a nerve when he mused aloud, "I'm wondering if Shana isn't getting to you more than her problem." Anderson wants to pretend to himself that he is helping Shana only for altruistic reasons: "Don't be silly. I'm always willing to help people." Anderson is unable to admit to himself or another person that he is in love with Shana. He is almost like Star trek's Spoke because he tries to base his decisions on reason and logic. To give himself over to the wildness of love is foreign with him. I also feel he suffers from the once-bitten-twice-shy nature of his tumultuous divorce. He is not eager to go back into a relation. Right on cue . . . ball . . .Shana walks in to test his set-jaw resolve.

We'll see what happens next. Thank you for sharing.

I like that your last post introduced the idea that there could be more to the interest in the art than meets the eye. Now Anderson must find someone in the Russian mafia. You always leave me wanting more

Anderson definitely has the hots for Shana. The story continues to fold and I love your use of dialogue to move the story along. Using the setting of the pool table and game was inspired. You did a great job of showing us the men as they took their turns.
Thank you for sharing,

Interesting chapter with a bit of a cliffhanger. I an see the suspense building as the story progresses. Good follow through.
