I can see why this Ode to Winter won the contest. Congrats! I like the comparison of snow to glittered fairy dust ... lovely! Great choice of artwork too to accompany and complement your 5-7-5. Well done!

This is an excellent fantasy poem that captures the feel of winter. I like the image of snow as fairydust, it adds magic to winter. Excellent haiku form that creates a scene and feel for winter.

I like the description of "glittered fairydust" for snow. It is March and I'm looking forward for snow to go away although it is pretty. It's lovely on the tree branches but on the roads, it's been a hazard.

    The roads are bad here too, I can't wait for spring, even though I love winter. I live by lake Ontario and the snow is so different then were I grew up on L.I., It's something in the air it, really does sparkle like glittered fairy dust. Thank you for your review!

Beautiful photo of the lady with snow. We still have snow
on the ground. The dogs love eating the snow. The blankets
are snowy white and beautiful. So glad spring is on the way.

My daughters love seeing the blankets of snow on the Rocky
Mountains. They got to take photos on the Boulder mts. with
65 degrees and sun. So nice to share the snow times.

    I'm so happy you liked it. I don't have my dogs anymore but they loved to eat snow too. The snow must look beautiful on the Rocky Mountains, Hope I get to see them one day.
