ok, Lady, you have a never-ending way of making the most hardened, I'm not gonna laugh this time, I know what's coming, vet of bruni's back-hands, ...laugh.
The slap-stick doesn't stop. Just when I thought I'd made it, the herd "began shooting squirts again". OK, loved it, caught me off guard on this one.

Never knew all that Friday the 13th little known but important info before. Cool.

Hi LaRosa, thank you for the wonderful review and high compliment. Loved reading your reactions. I've been a little behind here on FanStory, so I apologize for the delay in responding. Happy Valentine's Day!

Ha, this is a fun story about hot love of the wrong kind. Add to this a fear of Friday the 13th, and you have an entertaining and engaging story. It resonated me because I have a Chihuahua who sometimes leaves steaming piles around the house. Your tone is humorous and irreverent as you gather positive and negative memories of Valentine's Day in the past.

Thank you for sharing.

Hi again, Andre. Thank you for another wonderful review. I blame Princess's piles on the steroid she was taking...I suspect she expelled AttaBoy dog food from her intestines from the 1990's :D Thank you again for the delightful review.

This is funny, Mary, but I can't laugh at steaming love here. Luckily, all my dogs for twenty years have been easily house-broken. Ugh.

I know you miss Princess. I do, too, and I didn't even know her.

On the guy thing? You are a lucky gal.

And I, too, have had a choking incident on the freeway. Peanut. My sister found out because I hit her (i couldn't make any noise; my trachea was completely blocked. She knocked hell out of me and I am alive.

Love.

Marla, thank you for the wonderful review and for your sweet comments. You would have loved Princess, this I know. I'm so happy your sister was with you and we are now reading your wonderful writing. Choking is a frightening experience, but I guess any near death event is :O

I appreciate your review and friendship very much, XO Mary

'Valentine's Day, known to some as Single Awareness Day... our first child was born on Valentine's Day, so the date has always been about him'
I thought this was a wonderful start and concept, single awareness day, very amusingly written and yet such emotion conveyed too, a brilliant piece very much enjoyed by me, Mary you have a wonderful gift for conveying emotion. Well done, Kindest regards, Meia x

And nothing less. This is a six plus for me. Thank you.
Your writing style and self deprecating style is so
readable. Every sentence, I was expecting to laugh
again. You have an amazing household. Happy V Day. -Bill

Vday will never be normal for you. It's your child's birthday above all, and it should be. As for Princess, whatever possessed you to bring her home to eat your little dog?

Hi Phyllis, thank you so much for your review. I appreciate it. I didn't know Princess and Sophie would experience an alpha superiority issue until they had it...a month after I adopted her...She got by just fine wearing a muzzle. Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours.

LOL ... your life is anything but dull, Mary! Always plenty of action at your house. :)

Murphy's Law never fails to strike. In this instance right when a birthday party is planned, Princess has the hershey squirts.

SoOO many fun parts to this extremely well written story. You are very talented at painting hilarious pictures for your readers to envision. I loved it all, but my favorite part is the paragraph describing your hubby flip-flopping taking tiny steps very quickly in rotating circles like a penguin. That is hilarious! A close second is the tennis ball hung in the garage so that you don't drive through the laundry room again. :) I have seen those tennis balls hanging in a few garages.

Thanks for the laughs, Mary! Loved it!

Ah Connie, I need to find a way to cut and paste your reviews. They are always so indepth and provide me with the boost I need to keep writing with intention. Thank you so much for your support and kind words. The assignment of a six brought sheer joy to my day! Happy Valentine's Day to you and Willy, and I hope the cold, raw weather leaves you sooner than later. I don't believe I could live in such a harsh environment--Brunhilda would never shut up about the cold... :D Have an awesome week!

This is hysterical and superbly written and I must add, I love Brunhilda. I have one too, but she isn't as eloquate as yours. You had me laughing all the way through this. I also have a 'mild' fear of Friday the 13th, but not bad enough to qualify as friggatriskaidekaphobia. This is definitely a 6 star post if ever there was one.

triskaidekaphobia - you're one of three people that I know who knows this word.

This is a hilarious story. Since I 've had similar situations (as you know, I'm an animal freak, too), I can certainly relate. I had Great Danes. Whoo, boy!

I think the funniest part was picturing your husband trying to reach in like "a penguin in flip-flops taking tiny steps very quickly while rotating in circles." hahahaha. Very vivid picture.

As I said, that was a funny part that stood out. It's all hilarious. The things we get into for our animals, huh?

Hi Yvonne, lol, thank you very much for the great review, and the beautiful Six! Great Danes...did you own a front loader for poop patrol? Loved your feedback and reaction, thank you so, so much!!
reply by damommy on 10-Feb-2017
Wish I had had a front loader. LOL. It was just li'l ole me and my scooper.

Even those are wonderful experiences when you love animals as we do. Thanks for replying. 8-)

Hi, Mary. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of mishaps and happy endings. Your sense of humor slays me. You have got that subtle yet sarcastic sense of timing that just works well in your writing. Bless you my friend and be it ever so umble there is really a great side to Valentine's Day. Another day for the candy industry to score big before the Easter rush of Cadbury junk. Bob

Hi Bob, thank you for your wonderful review and feedback. You are right about the candy...our economy would tank if we did away with just Valentine's Day! I appreciate your RR&R! Have a great weekend :)
