@What? you slept with rats? I never heard of anything like this. I don't even like to sleep with dogs or cats ... but to each their own.

Good job with the poem. It's definitely gross and it has the right form.

This is a disgusting entry for this prompt. I don't mind them so much as pets but not loose in my house or any where else. Like in caves where its already creepy. They just add to it. Your met the required 5-7-5 rthis promt. great picture to go with it. this is a good entry for this prompt. thank you for sharing. best wishes to you in the booths.

deserve the reputation they have
They did, are all, carry the plague

Well written, this little poem, Ine. I hate rats too. (who doesn't) When I look at the picture I know why. They are very dangerous, because they cause many diseases.
The rats you're talking about are not dangerous. My granddaughter had one once...
I never heard of the Lowku but I like it. Fia

This meets the contest requirements splendidly with correct line and syllable count. I studied Psych so my two best friends through the college years were white mice that helped me with my behavioral studies - they are really quite intelligent and loving creatures. The rats roaming the streets of NYC, however, are a whole different story LOL. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.
