This is a very beautiful poem you have penned about the rainbows and your daughters. So well said. That is the way I feel when one of my sons call me. They have no idea how special that is to me. Great wording and imagery! Blessings, Teri

This is so sweet. What would be better than a phone call from one of your children? It's a great way of putting it, to say that they're painting rainbows for you when they call. Their calls really give you a list. It seems better to call that to just email or Tweet or whatever. You have that touch of the human voice, and you can have your conversation. Well stated! judi

Thank you for the review, Judi. I have had rainbows on my mind as on 2 of the 3 Sundays this year on the way to church I have seen morning rainbows.

This is a lovely poem, Patricia. That's how I feel when my daughter and I go out for our weekly coffee dates--just special time set aside for the two of us. Nicely expressed and touching. Marilyn

This is absolutely beautiful and conveys the true love you have for your children. I wish I had communication with mine, but, for now, they refuse to talk to me. Very, very nice work with this one.

Thank you for the review, Sasha. I do hope your daughters at some point will realize that their mother is hurt by their actions.

I remember the times my mother would call and I would let it go to voice mail. Now I wish I had every one of those to listen to for my daughters are doing the same to me. When we do talk, it is like colors of the rainbow

A well-written poem. The words flowed well line to line combining easily and forming the message of the poem for the reader I think as we grow older we all feel the same way when our grown children call us,

Hi Pat,
what a lovely expression. I wonder how many of us do not realise how precious those little chats are with their mothers. We take each other for granted when all is required is a simple phone call.
This was a nice way of saying how important their contact remains.
Well done.

Hi Patricia,

After our children have left the nest, it really does "paint rainbows in our skies" when they come to see us or phone us. It just makes our day!

Your poem is one that most of us can relate well to and identify with. You said it so well!

Thanks for sharing this sweet write!

Connie

Hi Patricia
I love your poem, with the beautiful expression of painting rainbows. I feel exactly the same about my three daughters. It is a great way of expressing the joy you receive with simple thoughts as a telephone call. A joy to read.
Well done
Mary

So daughters keep painting rainbows in my skies
For each of you are the greatest in this mom's eyes.
