I was immersed in your story as if I were an easily scared student. You've done extremely well with this writing.
I hung on every word and action--excited and afraid. It seemed so real.
This story was also educational.

Thank you, Marv. that is a true story except I wasn't a teen.

Whoa! The way in which this story was written made me be really engaged in your story. Your written words captured my attention as soon as the word Snake was mentioned. I too have a fear and couldn't wait to find out what happened. Thank you for a pleasant surprise from beginning to end. Very nicely written.

I love this! Freaking stupid kid, but other than that I'm so jealous. I've always wanted to hold a snake. You didn't mention anything about the weight, was he heavy? This was also very well written, so good luck in the contest. Cheers.

He was definitely not your garden type green snake in weight, but he wasn't really heavy. But you could feel all the little moving bones/muscles when he maneuvered himself around me. It was a weird feeling.
    Thanks for the good wishes!

Good job! Nice piece of imagery and storytelling here.

"My eyes were glued on that boa as Mr. Lindsey coaxed it from its carrier and demonstrated how to hold it. The constrictor wrapped its powerful, three-foot-long body around Mr. Lindsey's waist, then calmly rested its head on his arm. "I'll be taking you and watching you the first time or two until I think you're okay on your own, so don't worry," he said. "

A good story about your worst nightmare. I'm glad Bo let go. You are brave! I'm not fond of snakes. I bet you warned people not to pat him on the head after that.

    thank you.
I'm not fond of them either, but my partner flatly refused before I flatly refused.
