I'm so sorry for the family you lost. So glad you have the peace of knowing you will be reunited some day. Very nice rhyme and flow. A sad poem of loss.

Hi, dawn. where in the name of heck have you been? LOL..It seems like ages. I am glad to see you back and enjoyed this poetry very much. especially these lines:

"November comes, brings such a chill,
a bitter frost, yet bitter still
is all the sadness we possess,
this ruptured vein of happiness."

Wow! Brilliant writing, Dawn. Blessings, Bob

Oh so sorry Bob but you know how I am. I kinda come and go. My work gets really busy in the summer and fall but it is starting to slow down so maybe I'll be able to be around a bit more. Thank you so much for dropping by. Are you working on anything new?

I have had two books published since we last spoke. (not self published, but actually with an agent and publisher. both are detective novels. I cannot remember if you read any ofthem or not. Now, I amworking on a revised edition of "falling Up the Stairs" a family saga. Again I don't know if you read it back aboutseven years ago when I first wrote it. I currently have chapter thirty up for review. If you are still a fan of mine you should get notices of my new postings. Bless you, my friend. so good to see you back. Bob (ps. I have big plans for this book and forsee it being made into a movie. (fingers crossed)

Wow, who is your publisher, how did they find you or you them, that is very exciting

Yes, for a while on here I was signing autographed copies to members. sold almost fifty books like that which was nice, because I didn't have to wait for my royalties. I was happy to do it, too.

I sent out one hundred and forty query letters for the first book, "Fatal Beauty". I got mostly rejections...some no answers at all, then I got three bites and finally narrowed it down to one.

My books are five star reviewed on amazon and Barnes and Noble both under my pen name R.C. Hartson. The other book is called "Triple Crossed" and was released in June of this year.

Needless to say, I am delighted so far. Blessings, Bob

Aww....prayers to your family. It's hard enough to lose loved ones, but during the Holiday months, I think always doubly hard. This is a beautiful memorial prayer, blessings...

Yes indeed and November is a difficult month, well portrayed here in these quatrains with a vein of hope's resurrection and renewal running throughout and an appropriate pic

A very well-written heartfelt poem. It is hard to remember our loved ones' time of death each year. At special gsherings they are always missed.

The days leading up to the bitter cold are thought to be a time when many will leave this world. Just the thought of another bitter cold winter is just something that make older people welcome death. Patricia

Perhaps so, I lost my dad and two sisters in the month though and some other family members as well. It is the tragic ones in the month that make one take pause and wonder. Thanks for the great review.

Dawn,
You did a great job expressing your feelings with this poem. The color scheme, the art/image. & your well-chosen words all create a sad, somber mood for readers. Good job on the rhyme & smooth flow.

Loss is hard as you state in your notes & as your poem relates. Take care. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Beautiful poem for a sad reason. And so close to Christmas, I'm sure those holidays were not joyful.

In our family, the month of loss is January. Five members in all. Life goes on.

This past week has had it's ups and downs. I know people who've lost parents. I know like three people, four if you go back to the 14th. The one on the 14th, she is my age, her mom was young. It's heartbreaking. Hang in there, it's almost over.
