This is a beautiful poem, Mikey. I can find no fault with it whatsoever, and much to appreciate and enjoy. I so much enjoy the sounds of the words... (which I seem to mention a lot, but so few poets seem to give it a thought, and it is part of the music of poetry) and I also very much enjoyed the visual impact of your creative phrases... "laughter glittered on the wings of crystal eagles gliding and sliding through clouds at first drifting then soaring like kites on the strings of imagination." Oh my... that is so beautiful! But all of it is beautiful... that just happens to be my most favorite verse. I loved the whole poem, and congratulations for placing second in this tight contest. It was a squeaker. ;p

I am honestly in awe of the excellence displayed
in this month's ballot - to the point of pain, at having
to choose "a front runner".

Your poem totally swept me away with both its subject
matter and construction...held me completely captive
with its poetic finesse and compelling imagery.

All I can say is - Great write!

. . .and best of wishes in the voting booth!

The picture takes my breath away... a poem of romance. the strongest emotion is love. An invisible sense. Love the title! for SOME REASON i BEEN STUCK ON MIRRORS and water, and reflections. Nice! Many masts of mists. I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT COMBINATION BEFORE. UNIQUE BLEND. Oh, nice eye with the presentation. Love your color choices. The black and blue look fabulous together. Billowed, now that is a sea word, well, it seems like it derives from the sea. Sea dog, I am. subs BLOW THEIR BALLAST tanks. for and fantasies look good together. hot! tsunami quelled On - the -- strings --- of ---imagination. you got my brain on warp drive. guess i can fill in the blanks with words, right? there are hidden words here?
and felled by the peace
in her soul
Now I always like the word tsunami.
SEX, REMOVE THE E AND ADD AN I
BOO!

I knew this was going to be a fine poem when I read the title, the sea reflected in the sky. That is reaching the realms of all possibility.

Right away you draw us into the beginnings, birth in the sea and she, the goddess rises on the crest of a wave and everything is alive for sheer joy.

One of your absolute best ever poems, Mav. I like the soaring kites too.

Super job filled with lots of sensual imagery.

This is beautiful, Mikey - very romantic and magical.
Awesome imagery and word choice.
Good use of alliteration and scattered rhyme.
It is wonderful how a poet's imagination can create romance and
love.

Wow. If only...delusion? This is incredibly evocative, and the imagery so very beautiful. What a dream! Or daydream, as the case may be... Do you think if I envision winning the lottery tomorrow that I could? (LOL) Picture it and I'll send you a little sumthin, sumthin...(*grin*). Delusion works for me!
