Seamstress, His one more poem that reveals the pain of a mother's broken heart. The dedication reminds us that Mickey is no longer with us In body but he will never leave you in spirit. It's amazing, how so many inanimate objects are like little triggers to a place, a point in time and a person that lie just below the surface. .Thanks again for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving. May God bless you!

What a sad, but sweet poem, my friend, it has so much in it. I like how you ask the Seamstress of Dreams to make everything better, it a lovely thought. You are certainly on a role, Luna, and they are all so good. Well done!! :) Sandra xxx

Luna,
You did a wonderful job with the challenge that was presented to you. Your feelings are expressed well. The flow was very nice. The theme was good. Your arrangement looks very nice. The artwork complemented your poem.
There was no SPAG, no typos, no room for improvement.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

This is a well-written poem, hence the five stars, but not a favourite. I think 'a seamstress of dreams' is a good platform for a good poem but, for me, it didn't work. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

I guess we can't win 'em all, can we? I'm sorry this one didn't work for you but appreciate the five stars on technical merit.
Thanks for the good luck wishes, my friend!

Jeni,
This is an enthralling, memorable poem.
I liked the entire poem, but I will tell you the ones I liked the most:
"Sew a starry blanket,
you seamstress of dreams.
Cover a tired frame in twinkling warmth
and calm your restless child."
Also,
"golden needle and silver thread
hold her heavy heart."
It is sad, but it is also so magical.
Great work.

Love that expression "crimson expectations" - what a powerful way of describing hope. It is interesting the way weaving and dreaming are connected - I have always found the 'dream weaver' to be a fascinating concept. Your poem has a wonderful aura about it. You use words well.

I don't know if the contest is over or not, but I think you have a WINNER. I like the way you chose seamstress as your metaphor, even the feminine (goddess). This is truly a great poem and I hope you embrace it and let every cell flow through your body. Your Mickey is so proud of you!!
