As a romantic, I'd be a mess of despair if the love of my life was taken from me!
You captured the sorrow. It's a bitter place to reside.
The poet in me feels the pain but it also hopes for a new love to bring you back.

This is beautiful. I sorry for not knowing that hurt written by a man with feeling can convey the image of this angel. I'm late in reading this. I'm just picking up names off the screen. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for sharing your heart.

Hi, That was moving and placed a lump in my throat.
I know that pain well..and still, hurts.
A loss that once made us whole and alive..
A loss that left you behind too soon.
But know a torch is forever lit.... as love is a loss on this earth
but lives on.. and waits.
So they say and believe it is true. As hugs, I receive from above.
Once the tears have settled down on both sides.
Follow and listen the voice within..you be surprised what it gives.
God bless. And well done! The love you loved lives on!

I am pleased to see that you have not lost your flair for writing romantic poetry. This poem is romantic and so much more, speaking of a love that was once vibrant, alive and fierce. I get that the object of that love is no longer alive in body but very much alive in spirit. You very poignantly express that she is ever near in the memory of her that you keep near to your heart. This is not bad for an old guy. LOL.

This is a very moving poem as I read it I tough of my daughter Dianne .
Who went to be with the lord in 2006
we were and still very closet. When she die she gave me strength I didn't know I had.
