I admire those who can write these. It makes me dizzy just trying to do one. This is lovely, my friend, however, I must confess I read it only one direction. I'll trust you it reads the same way backwards~DEbbie

    Hi Debbie,

I've not written very many and they are good for a challenge. I had to let this one percolate for awhile to make it work both ways lol Thanks for the great review.

Hi Kim,

I think this is a great piece of work. I've never tried to write a palindrome - poetically or otherwise, so I have no real idea how hard it is - it certainly looks hard to me.

I think my favourite part is entrance souls / soul's entrance, just because it actually changes the meaning of "entrance".

Great job, I hope it does well in the contest.

    Hi Craig!

I will admit, they take much more effort than I'm accustomed to lol I do like the challenge, though :) (Much better than debating about meter!! ;) I know, so predictable!) Thanks for the wonderful review.

    *hugs*

Your Palindrome is nicely done, Kim. Reads beautifully without seeming to be forced. I tried writing one once, quit in frustration but will try again when I can fiddle with it. Much good luck in the contest. Marilyn

    Hi Marilyn,

I tend to have to let the Palindrome idea percolate for awhile. I've only written a 3 or 4. It is a challenge on the wording, for sure! Thanks for the great compliments. I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.

A picture speaks a thousand words. Are those really reflections?
Nothing like a touch of surrealism but all those descriptive words disturb me. I like some solid images as in that irrepressible picture.

    Hi Ekim,

With the Palindrome, the difficulty is choosing words that will make as much sense in reverse as they do in the first half of the poem. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment.

This tells how a mirror might reflect your soul as well as just your face.

This seems like one of the hardest forms to write. You did it well. It kind of scares me.

Good luck in the contest.

Keep writing.

Good work with this, Kim. These "palindrome poems" are not as easy to compose as some might think. You've managed to do a fantastic job in doing just that here with your entry.

Best of luck...

This is so cool the way your poem mirrors itself in the reflection . Very interesting format. I have never attempted that one. You did a wonderful job. Thank you for writing.

I applaud your taking on this form! It is exceptionally difficult
to wrangle the verbs (and their tenses)!! By nature, there is a certain
"shorthand" nature to it.

Your Reflection flows pretty smoothly - as does the "stream of
consciousness" it mirrors :-)

    Hi Leineco,

Thank you for your enthusiastic response to my palindrome. I haven't tried many of these, but I do love a challenge. It fits right in with my exploration of Poets and Poetry types this month. I appreciate all of your kind comments.

This is the first reflection type poem that I have ever reviewed and I have to say that this form is very original. I like the reflective imagery that you used to enhance your poem.
