Hi Mary, this murder always upset me, OJ definitely was the murderer, no doubting that, why would he have run if he was innocent? You have written this really well, it flows well and tells the story without any forcing of words. Well done. I will stop by tomorrow and read some more of your work. Absolutely. Karma has visited him, even though he was found not guilty. He is serving time for an unrelated idiotic stunt and I couldn't be happier. I hope he never gets out. Thank you for your review, rating and continued follow.

Your poem is well written. Good job on the facts. Your lines flow smoothly and the rhyme is good, too. The media had a feeding frenzy with this story when it happened, but not so much when this 'new' info came to light. I can tell by your words that you are a caring person who was and is deeply disturbed by this horrendous act. oj may have escaped the death penalty, but did not escape God's eyes. Good job and thanks for sharing and caring.

Thank you for your review and rating, jannypan. I very much appreciate your remarks and observation. I have often thought how the dog saved the children from finding their mother in that way. Something their own father callously designed. The dog provided the only grace that horrible night. Thank you so much.

Well, I have to say that your poem is really well written and my Dutch husband heard the news that you are referring to here...I did not, but I'm from the Buffalo, NY area where I watched OJ play as a super star of the Buffalo Bills football team. I remember listening to all of the trial and then years later hearing how OJ was arrested in LV...another place I lived.
Your poem really hits the heart of the matter with great rhyme and a smooth read....brilliance, really. I can tell that this really has meaning for you...both in your excellence as a writer and as a citizen with vision for truth.

Kind of a funny story, I had heard the news on Friday and just as I finished uploading the poem, my husband called to tell me the news...my response was, "oh honey, I heard about it and I just wrote a poem about it". He shared that story with friends that evening to a bit of laughter. The story has haunted me for many reasons. Unfortunately, too many people have gotten rich off the two victims, and the families have only been haunted more by the injustice. Thank heaven Karma found OJ in Las Vegas. Thank you again, Linda.

Apart from there being some evidence of rhyme that al way seem to threaten to become regular but never does this reads like free verse, as if there had been a conscious effort to avoid getting inveigled into some metric bounce. It does tend to read more like a newspaper editorial than a poem.
