Oh gawd, you cracked me up too much to even think about spags or any of that shite. So, sorry, I was too busy laughing to be helpful.
Your gag about going in to rescue the little man made me think of my doctor. When doing examinations 'down there', he puts a head torch on. I keep waiting for him to get the rope and crampons out. 'Ok, lads, lower away'.

It seems to me that no humor leads to a no fun, boring, and ho-hum experience; kind of like a business deal and certainly not one that anyone would want to repeat. It was interesting to read this 'ordeal' from a man's point of view. I'd love to read it from your companion's point of view. It would be like Dueling Banjoes, except it would be Dueling Sex!
