Hi, I am a newbie at this, hence the time lag. I really liked your acrostic poem. I learned more about the male dominated society ! I would not have enough breath to play it anyway! It has great visual and ecoustic images. i loved all the rhyming words to the lines - clever job. I am a novice writer, but am interested in learning the different styles of poetry. I see your spirit is very strong,and wheelchairs cannot stop that.

Oh, what a surprise to hear from a newbie. I have been writing on the site for over eight years now. Have learnt so much and made many friends overseas. A fabulous entry for the contest. You even managed rhyme as well. :)) An interesting topic and you have executed this poem in good form. I was wondering when you wrote "I" ... I thought woman were not permitted to play, then I read your notes. LOL
I hope you won't be in trouble for trying it. I enjoyed your poem very much and what a great Ambassador for Australia you are, to share some of your Aboriginal history with others from UpOver. I love the sound of the didgeridoo ... I always see visions of Corroborees, family and tribal unity.

Oh, listen, aboriginal, musical food." -- I love this closing, especially the last line -- "musical food" ... creates strong emotions of history of the aboriginal people and how music and story-telling were/are great sustainables. I've missed you ... seems so inadequate ... I'm a bit removed from the world of contact at the moment. Youngest son in crisis, which puts me there as well. I love when you teach me something about Aboriginal culture. This instrument is so marvelous and it is created out of a tree branch. I am also in awe, animal sounds can be made with it.

This is so very beautifully written. I love the soothing sounds of the didgeridoo. I know very little about it other than it is made from a special tree...is that true. Lovely work with this, I enjoyed it very much and spectacular photo to go with it too.
