A good little flash-fiction story and true enough. So many kids/people have life-threatening allergies. I'm one of them.
Got to be careful not to ingest anything on the list. Marilyn

An excellent flash fiction. Very scary also, almost expiring for love. I can see this happening in real life.
A great take on the classic fated teenage romance.

Dying for a kiss should have been the title, I guess. Thank you so much for your review. Gretchen

This is very good. TYPO in last line--in the words totally.
Great scene setting, infused with a day-dreamer's tone that works perfectly for this plot and characters.
Also read your pedophile character-based story. Both excellent.

He knew the peanut butter kiss would be harmful, yet he went for it anyway. Now that's true love. LOL! This is really cute, with a totally unexpected outcome. I'm thinking they're in high school. Maybe junior high or even less. :)

Those nut allergies can be deadly. There was a girl in my old school that wanted to get out of gym class so she had a bite of peanut butter sandwich. It killed her.
My grandson is skin and bones and fussy as all get out. The two types of sandwiches he will eat are peanut butter or nutella. He can't take either to school so his lunch is pretty pitiful.
Oh well, he can eat as soon as he gets home from school.
I enjoyed your little love story and that the boy thought it was worth it :)

Hi, Gretchen
= Those darn allergies.
= Who knew PBJ could be so treacherous. (*<*)
= Cute little tale. When one doesn't suffer from food allergies, it's hard to identify with it---unless you're the unlucky to have them.
*** I apologize for my late response ***
= Just edited/published a new book.
= Highlighted w/plugin to = amazon.com = on my profile page.
= Working on getting caught up on reviews/reviewing.
* Cheers & Blessings *
Keep Smilin'... Jackie <> Jax (*<*)

Poisoned with a kiss. I guess food allergies can be a bitch. I worked with a Girl who was allergic to sea food and didn't know it. Went out to dinner and ordered something in that family and nearly died before the medics got there. A peanut
butter kiss can be deadly too. Good job Gretchen

The Lunchroom Affair Is a very sweet portrayal of adolescent love. It is described as puppy love, but as one recipient of this youthful adoration once said, it sure is real to the puppy! May God Bless you

I can find no fault, only praise for this very well-written, entertaining piece of flash fiction. It's not easy to develop character, plot and setting to the climax and resolution in so short a span. You did very well. If I had a six you'd get it.
