Wow. That was unbelievable. I'm not really good at reviewing poetry. I don't know if I'm qualified to critique because I don't understand a lot of the literary terms I've come across on this website. I haven't taken an English class since high school, and if I'm being honest I don't really read ever. However, the structure of your poem, and the way you end it is a clear example of your beautiful mind. Thank you.

good choice as a contest winner. I like the rythem & the theme. All of us feel that society is sucking the life out of us from time to time. It might even make you into a martyr. What do you think?

I love this poem. No wonder you won the free verse contest. It is everything one would look for in a poem. fragmented pieces
tossed onto the shore,
like sea glass shards,
waiting
to once again
be created,
shaped and molded
into
a beautiful poem.
How wonderful that a poet can change something that hurts into something that makes sense, and a thing of beauty.

I like this poem, it expresses the anguish with some poems. The " will they understand it? Will they think its stupid? " We reveal a lot of ourselves in our poetry, which is OK if its just a happy little verse, but for stronger or more reflective stuff there is inevitably a bit of soul searching. Well written and observed.
