I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I can only imagine the pain and void in your life right now. Your poem is a soulful tribute to your fathers life. It is beautifully written. I especially like your description of your memories in the 4th and 5th stanza.

"A memory is potent -
the first note of a score,
evoking ten for every one
emotion held in store.

It blossoms from a moment
and blooms into a scene,
reminding us of laughs and loves
and all that lies between. "

You are a master writer. Blessings to you and my sincerest condolences. Petra

What a loving tribute to your father. He sounds like a wonderful person and you were blessed to have him. He taught you the important things in life, I can tell from your poem. remember him with a smile and know that the energy of his love is with you still.

A beautiful tribute for dad. Memories is what makes those moments live forever. Nice rhyming throughout. As you write the end is really not the end. Wonderfully written. Les

All, apologies for the copy-and-paste reply. It's only because I've had so many beautiful, wonderful, touching replies to my poem and I have so very much to get done in the wake of my Dad's passing.

You've helped me more than you can know and I'll be thinking about your encouraging comments when I read my poem aloud on Wednesday.

Your words mean more than I can say, and I thank you deeply.

Lovely poem about your father. For you this is the ending for him its the beginning of a new journey that is unknown to you at this time. All of my life I've been wondering about that journey. I'm 53 now so for me it can't be that far away.

What's on the other side? I've always wanted to know without going first. Looks like it just doesn't happen that way...

I wish you well at the service and I appreciate your fine poem...

as time near we fade. time is a distance we have in our life. as time pass we pass the distance of our life. time is near as we fade into another world. the world we fade in is another dimension that locks our joy and humor in our memory. your poem was wonderfully express and written. i enjoyed n reading your poem. thanks for the read. "your so vein" means mood or humor.

Ah Mike. Profound regrets to you and prayers heading your way. What a wonderful relationship you had with him! I can feel it in the poem and I'm envious.

Feel loved, my friend, because you are,
