What a great ending! Buried to begin again! Brooke, I feel like I am repeating myself when reviewing your poems! You always write with such skill and imagination, using great word choices to create vivid imagery and it feels like playtime reading your writing! Love the alliteration which always adds so much when reading poems aloud! Thanks for sharing your delightful poem!

Brooke this is a lovely rhymed children's poem. I really liked it too.
The scenarios were so thoughtful and depicted the fate of each acorn perfectly.
I love the image choice and chosen presentation.
I guess this is just another example of the cycle of life.
:-) Shirley

Another imaginative counting poem. This one about acorns. I couldn't fathom how you were going to get 10 scenarios out of acorns, but you managed it. Nicely done.

I imagine a child sitting net to you, enjoying the poem and, hopefully, any pictures accompanying it. In a quiet and subtle manner, I would guess it will, also, give the child much food for thought: why did the squirrel have to eat it? How do you know the last acorn will grown" What did the bird do? etc, etc.

Ever evocative.

Hi--Queen of the counting poems! Your selection of the squirrel with acorn artwork is just right. I reveled in your rhymes and rhythm plus enjoyed the addition of sounds. Try to stay warm in your "freezy" weather- Joan

A cute and funny poem. good rhyme and rhythm i love the last line " One acorn, with no friends in sight,
thought, "It's my time to go."
A squirrel snatched and buried him,
where soon a tree will grow. "
i enjoy your poems so much keep writing.

A great rhyming count down poem using the acorns growing upon an oak. Like the final line with the squirrel burying the final acorn -
where soon a tree will grown.
Nice one Brooke.

I wish I could also write children's poetry like you have done for so many times here and I never tire reading them. This nursery rhyme is spotless and every kid will love this one. The art work is also spot on reinforcing the message of the poem. Again, you honor us with your gift. God bless.
