So clever and apt for kids. (of all ages) Wow, that looks like mad fun. What is the purpose of that in a gym or is My Gym not what I think it is. The words totally stand alone, but they are soooo perfect with the great pictures! mikey

Thanks so much, Mikey. My Gym is a gym for little kids, not an actual gym with barbells and treadmills. It is also not a training ground for kids to become Olympians. They have a trampoline and ziplines and a little bit of tumbling, lots of circle activities with the instructor - it's an hour for toddlers to engage in physical activity with their parents and instructors in a fun way :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke,
a truly uplifting,fun-filled set of rhyming couplets that has a real sense of build-up to the infectious, if not contagious laugh... wonderful layout, seamless flow and as per usual, something that left me feeling good... thank you for the brightened start to my day.
With our thoughts we create,
an avalanche of feelings,
James xx

Laughter is so contagious, especially that of a child. How can anyone be sad when surrounded by the music of a child's laugh? Love your poem and the message of the power of a laugh.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Super cute poem this time... love all the suspense (for kids) leading up to "what the heck is it?" Adorrrrable pictures of Sawyer in the ball pit, too. :)

If I was put in a room with 10 poet's works but no names associated to each poem presented, I reckon I would have a fair chance of guessing who were the authors of each piece purely because we gravitate toward a style. I suppose that is the diversity of life. I recognised this "adewpearler" straight away..another one for the "book of brooke"

Thanks so much, Dip :-) Yep, I can recognize styles too. When I was married to an art historian I was pleased with myself at the number of painter I could identify without seeing their names. :-) Brooke

This is a wonderful upbeat poem packed with catching fun couplets. It is a great work to read aloud or have children read for themselves.
It is filled with uninhibited childhood joy as is the adorable photo of Sawyer.

This is fantastic, Brooke! It has brought back memories of when my children had to memorize Shel Silverstein poems for recitation at school.
This has beautiful cadence. Read aloud, it is so much fun! The picture of Sawyer is priceless. There is nothing like the sound of uncontrollable laughter in a young child.
Great "P" consonance and "O" assonance in the second line, and "a" assonance in the ninth line.
Perfect rhymes.
Really, really enjoyed this.

Thanks so much for your generosity, Lena - I'm thrilled kids are still reciting in school :-) Brooke

You are very welcome, Brooke. I couldn't tell you if they are reciting now, I am recalling when my oldest was in grade school and that was a good 25 - 30 years ago. Yikes! Lena
