I am sitting here cuddling my lovely black cat, with a big lump in my throat. I don't know how anyone can treat any animal like that. They should be made to suffer the same fate! This poem really is sad. You have my vote, good luck! xsx Sandra

This is truely a sad poem. Sometimes I think people don't know what to do and the vet doesn't always know or have a cure. In the case of my cat, we took him to the vet and he had no idea what was making him sick. We tried changing his food. We tried everything we could think of and he still died.

Sweet picture of a sweet, sweet baby. I would take my kitties to the vet even if it meant me not eating. I have one of my kitties sitting on the arm of the chair as I type this. One has a vet appt. Thursday. Your poem is indeed sad. It reminds me of the many people who do not take their pets to the vet when needed. I believe that those who mistreat animals will mistreat people. Thank you for speaking for the animals who cannot speak for themselves. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you jannypan. This really happened to me and I still can't get that sad little cat out of my mind. I don't have any cats at this time (have two dogs), but I do love them. I especially loved this one. I found out too late she was sick. I was on my way to a reunion in Miss. By the time I got back she had died.

That sweet baby is now in Heaven after crossing Rainbow Bridge. If you do not know abut it, google Rainbow Bridge, There are some amazing poems etc. The poem is good, too.

Thank you for your kind review. Yes, this was the reason I got for "not taking to the vet." But, somehow, this person was able to spend money on new clothes while at home her cat was suffering. I knew about this too late or I would have paid for the vet. Yes, I do know about the expense and I agree people can't always afford it. I have two dogs I have spend thousands on the have teeth cleaned, shots, surgery etc. I guess it just hurt me to know they could afford it and chose not to help their pet.
