It seems that we are always turning our backs on God and the bounties of the earth to go our own way - even if it means that we or others must suffer.

Lovely poem of faith and also sad in that not everyone is aware.. or maybe they just don't care. The young especially think they will live forever, so they ignore God and concentrate on having fun. Later, hopefully they will see what they have been missing. But a person must COME to God... no one can make him/her do it. Seems like more and more, youth is rejecting Him, but pendulums swing and society changes. It won't be long, I think, until folks will start to want more from life than a good time. Some MEANING. Something to rely on? The faithful can only hope and pray the direction is reversed, since without God, society is becoming a real MESS!

Thank you so much, my dear friend. So glad you liked my poem. It is strange, but God is the first name called when some terrible crisis, accident, near death experience happens to them.
