What a brave trick or greater he is! A young man on a mission! Thank you for sharing, as always a delight to read. The photo is charming!

My focus is on candles is my favorite line,I like how Sawyer is diverting away from the scary part of Halloween. This is a cute little poem that takes the reader into the mind of a trick or treater.

Lovely photo that complements your poem ever so well. Sawyer does not fear anything but just looks for the candies. He had a gorgeous evening.

LOLOLOL - that kid is so cool. I guess the only thing that would scare him would be the cookie monster (if they didn't do away with that character). Thanks so much for sharing, Brooke. Hugs, Lou

An excellent poem that gave me a Halloween laugh, especially after i read your author's notes. Boy, Sawyer is braver than my 10 year old grandson how had me bypass any really scary houses.

Oh, this is so much fun, Brooke. (Both the poem and your author notes) It sounds like he had a fantastic Halloween and has the ability to focus purposefully! LOL, Giddy

Thank you for one more salute to Halloween and sharing the festivities that we miss in our neighborhood due to the hills and stairs. Sawyer certainly is brave--Miz Kat wrote me that she still doesn't like Halloween, because she was so terrified by neighbors who wore scary costumes when she was a child. How cool that Miranda captured Sawyer's nonchalance with the "bride of horror" and you immortalized it in your fun, rhymed quatrains. Happy unhaunted Sunday evening- Joan

Thanks so much, Joan :-) I think she's pretty damn good at catching him at just the right times from just the right angles - good thing she is too because he is in a phase where he does NOT want to pose :-) Brooke
