What a beautiful song Roy! It seems to me to be just as much of a rhyming poem as it is a song, and works well as both. The stanza below the first chorus is my favorite. "His bloodstained hands outstretched" is a beautiful, and very haunting, image. As always, the verses that you include in the author notes are spot on, and excellent, especially John 10:28. All in all, a brilliant work Roy. Well done.

Great compelling tone and message. Effective art. Good rhyming and near-rhyming lines. Nice song. I like the way the chorus expands on the subject each time and still keeps fresh and interesting words:)

Hi Roy

Great presentation and what an excellent expression of faith in a poem/song. I sang it in my head ... everyone is sleeping and I'm sure the neighbours wouldn't want to hear the sound of a foghorn in the middle of the night. :)))

Do they sing your songs in church ... seems to me this would be a good one. Excellent rhyme and a strong message. Well done. Hugs - Lovi xoxox

Beautifully written.
Wonderfully presented.
I could look at that beautiful photo all day.
He will be in quite a different mood when He returns to clean things up. So very needed.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

This is very lovely. Excellent rhyme in this, and it's easy to hear the lyrics. The words in the chorus are inspiring and thoughtful. Good use of questions to make people think. Excellent way of getting the thought across with "If I could paint a portrait," "If you could only see him"--"hear him." It shows the narrator's desire to have others get the word of Christ's message. judi

Does a hymn class as a song? Then this is a hymn. I am sure it would do well on Songs Of Praises. I am not religious myself but I enjoyed the effort you put into this.

Nothing is greater than poems written to glorify the Lord our God and yes, I agree with all the messages you have conveyed to us, your readers. God is our only salvation, He is definitely right at our doorsteps and we must be ready for His eventual return to judge the good and the evil. Thanks for sharing and God bless.

This is beautiful, Roy. It has an uplifting message and is written in an inviting way that beckons the reader (or listener if it sung) to pause and consider its meaning. I wonder where I'll be? I hope it is where I think.

NOthing is more poignant to me than the knowledge that Christ suffered and died on the cross to save us wretched humans - our souls. YOur poem is a loving invitation to everyone to know what you know about our Savior. The second verse was my favorite - such unearthly selfless love! Excellent writing with smooth flow and compelling imagery. Blessings to you, Linda
