Many thanks for adding your tribute to the many FanStorians have posted. Your "shadow" metaphor is very appropriate. I add my "candle" to the scores of others to light our Warrior Woman's path. Your use of "echoed" is a wonderful reference to her favorite place and the photograph reinforces this perfectly. Well done- Joan

Hi Roy

A beautiful and loving tribute to our beloved Maureen. Love the image. I'm sure I've seen a photo of hers viewing that same escarpment. Bon echo seems such a wonderful place and Maureen has described it so many times and so many features of her beloved lake.

You set of quatrains have lovely meter and rhyme scheme. You've even managed to include the candles that burn bright for her, a lighthouse, a fire beacon. I'm sure when the Zooters read it to their mum she will hear the passion of your emotions and the blessings you seek for her. Loads of poetic technique in use of enjambment, assonance and consonance creating a melodic echo to your words. We have all been blessed to know her. I'm pleased you've had that opportunity with me. It's so beautiful to read the wishes and poetry from her numerous friends. One thing she missed was an extended family ... she sure made up for it here ... we've become part of her own family, along with those precious Zooters. I've commented on quite a few of the dedications to Maureen and always feel the need to mention that although I do not know her I wish her well. So many people care for her, and those that do are fortunate to have been touched by someone so special. And she is blessed to have so much support. I hope that she will safely return to her life and enjoy it.
