Super job with this prompt. Congratulations on your win. I loved the line, "the hubbub of new Fall TV shows." Totally hilarious. Do you do any laundry??

Thanks for taking the time to read and review my little story, GLGIRL. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the congratulations. Of course most of my day is taken up by boring chores, but they're boring and didn't fit into the humor of the story.

It sounds wonderful, although I would probably fill my day somewhat differently the idea of my time being my own to use as I wish is very appealing......I can't stand the idea of having to keep on working for the health insurance for several more years....I so enjoyed this piece

Thanks for reading my little story, onebrit. I appreciate your taking the time to write a review and share your thoughts. My day is filled with much more than the things I listed, but household chores aren't as fun. Lol

Well, being limited to 100 words, nothing could be done much to describe where the day went. Like it is said in the Author Notes.

But as far as it goes, it looks well spent. I see this as a slow life. Difficult to track time when you are in a recliner, listening to music and maybe fall asleep. The scheduled napping and TV show take out a big chunk also.

I have a suggestion to keep active track of time. Hunt down the jackalope with a camera or tranquilizer gun. Then you can crush the skeptics.

Thanks for reading my little story, Dennis, and I appreciate your comments. Maybe I will hunt down that jackalope ... if I can work it into my schedule. I could always put aside the fun things like housework, laundry, and cooking.

Funny.
I enjoyed your brief but entertaining summary of your day. 100 words or less is quite a challenge and you did a great job.
Congratulation on winning.

Me too. Me two. Ha. Sometimes I feel guilty, so I just take a nap. I have a lime green recliner. I just love her. And she loves me. Even my cat doesn't sit on her. Surrounding her is the rest of my tiny world. And it is tiny indeed. All I need. Being retired and finding FS and that I can actually write more than reports...wow. Great job.

Thanks for reading my little story, granny. I miss the babies I took care of in NICU, but I love my early retirement more than I thought I ever would. I appreciate your review and comments.

Yes, I too miss my profession. Caring and helping others (as we both obviously did), is not a job, it is a calling. A tiring one. Writing gives me an outlet now that that one is closed to me. You so get it.

I thought the same as you seven years ago when I retired early. The months and years have shot by and I have no idea what I've accomplished. The passing days were far less "speed crazy" when I worked. Great tongue-in-cheek look at your daily "chair duty!" Enjoyed the read. AT=/

Thanks for your great review and comments for my little story, AT. I retired early, too, but it wasn't planned. I do miss my job. But not getting up every morning to an alarm clock. I'm enjoying retirement more than I ever thought.
    Thanks for reading.

I'm sitting on the edge of retirement and wonder about the whole deal. Your very well written cameo of life in teh chair appeals greatly, especially after taking in all of the suppport detail. Congratulations on the win. Haven't read the others, but this feels like a winner to me.
