ahhh....most folks have placed their trust in the wrong source of security. And so, the need for this poem expounding on the systems that are based on falsehoods.
There is a flickering candle of faith that will continue to guide us through the darkness if we continue to search for it.
Interesting piece. A lot of hidden meaning and detail. Thanks for sharing it!

Security, that's best left up to the individual. How can we trust our government or nation to protect us when at every turn they are lying and deceiving our populace? What of Benghazi and the five lives lost there? What about James Foley, the American journalist beheaded by the radical Islamic extremists ISIS? What's being done, or has been done, to rectify those wrongs and bring these cowards who perpetrated these acts of violence against our citizenry to justice? Zero...nada...zilch!
I fear it is going to get much worse before it gets any better.
Nice political commentary in poetic free verse, giovannimariatommaso... Well done.
