Dean, :D
You better get published and make movies because I and millions others will love it, including popular writers like Stephen King, I bet.

My favorite line:
Behemoth bastions shut their gates, denouncing feeble, fickle fate (your use of the American language is just awesome! I can only aspire :P You are a role model, you know?

Okay, this , to me, is your best. Great alliteration (but you know that) but to me, it is the message. This is yours-and really, by extension, my carpe diem when it comes to writing. I'm sure you are as sick as I am at feeling like we have to justify writing the dark. It is the dark that makes the light sweeter, where lucid things are hidden that we are compelled to reveal. Myopic minions moan- they sure do. Don't bow to the hierarchy' s whim. This poem is in the realm of kings in my book. Your references to mortality are very moving. I hope you are doing well.

    You're too kind, Ed, but I certainly appreciate your kindness! This is one of my favorite creations as well, personally, because it is so very personal. And you nailed it, my friend, because like you, I feel if I cave in to the whims and fancies of others and write of cooing babies, cute little kittens and all things "light", then my passion for writing would surely die. It's often said by many who experience being close to death that they had never before felt so alive in their lives as they did at that moment. I truly appreciate the fact that you "get" that.

    Thanks for the exceptional rating and fantastic review, Ed. I sincerely appreciate it. :}

    Respectfully~Dean

    It is an exceptional poem. Write what you do the best and leave the cooing babies to...the cooing babies lol.

This started out sounding fairly benign and merely describing the wonders of the night sky. I really should have known better shouldn't I? Of course it would wander into the creepy, but in a very entertaining way. Well done.

Dean, I don't know how you find the time to come up with this stuff, but it has so much depth and thought that it is quite something to read. The music and pictures really bring your work to a higher level. A couple of points/suggestions:

how about - if they be feral(,) friend or foe.

belletristic - now there's a word you don't see every day! I don't recall every having read it before. I looked it up and learned something new.

try - an(d) angel(s) sing - plural seems to fit the rest of the line.

Well done. Thanks for sharing, Brent.

As always a great tale of the dark and scary. Like the rhyme scheme you've used. Great wordage - feeble, fickle fates and my favourite - myopic minions moan.
Fabulous artwork and a great read.

Dear Dean: this is even too magnificent for a lowly six which I have not! The combination of the script, the video, and the music makes this simply awesome! You are a true master of emotion. All the best, Vance

How captivating the night steeped in a richer darkness where poets wonder. Love the alliteration woven through exquisite language. An awesome presentation that allows the reader to step into your world. The music wraps itself around this piece like a chain linking it all together.
