Hi John
This a cute and sad poem. It seems to be the dog's life passing before his eyes before he dies. I can see how those eyes could let her get away with anything.
I thing perplexed should be perplexing
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Sorry for your loss. My dog died about 5 years ago.

    Hi Joan. Through our forty four years of marriage, we?ve had to put three dogs to sleep. No fun what so ever!

    Mikey, I love dogs. We have a Brittany spaniel who's eleven. Mindy was certainly a charector.

Dogs are truly wonderful creatures that can teach us humans how to love. It is amazing how just six pounds can change your life for the better. Your poem is very touching. Best of luck in the contest. Blessings, Linda

    Well our little Mindy was a little bit of a porker. Beagles love to eat. We had to watch her weight as she got older. Wouldn't have changed anything about that little pup! She was wonderful. I love dogs! You?

I love how your puppy goes under your bed with underwear, my puppy goes under my bed to chew things so I know what that's like. I like the rhyme scheme. Great picture. Best of luck.

I like your taking on the voice of the dog. Such rascals at times, but all it takes is one puppy-eyed look and all is forgiven. Sounds like you pampered her. I know my dog is a princess.

Sad, funny, and beautiful. I love dogs too, and this is very touching. Beagles certainly are adorable! Sixteen years is a good stretch, but when Mindy...departed...it was still very sad. I didn't have to be her owner to know that...

Such a warm and lovely... doggie poem. Like how it's written in the first tense, and as if its the Beagle saying it all. My favorite is the fourth stanza, about the underwear. Superb. Les

jm, this is a balanced b-b rhyming poem that tells the sweet story of a faithful fur person friend. It is amazing how they fill a void in our lives as no other one can. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

Awwww, too cute. I've got three myself, so I know what you mean. I've lost several to old age or disease and it's rough. They enrich our lives immeasurably. Beautiful photo:)
