A nice humorous little Haiku. I fell asleep once by a lagoon
in Shark Bay, Western Australia. When I woke up there were thousands of large ants trying to carry me off. They must have thought all their birthdays had come at once. Regards. AJ.

Wonderful! I love haikus, and yours is funny and charming. I like M&M's too! I once used to write some haikus but I've lost that specific little book they were in, I guess I should write new ones. Thanks for sharing this, very nice :-)

You followed the rules for writing a haiku and you complied with the rules of the writing prompt. You delivered the lines and described the ants at work as it is, in their familiar habitat where they carry sweets from whatever source. Excellent write indeed.

I like the way this shows exchange between delicate creature and observant human. Adorable, and it(with your Author Notes)made me giggle. The image is too cute, too.

Nice haiku and nice picture of the ant as it related to your writing. Loved the background bright green color. The color of nature.

This is a funny haiku, when I first saw the candy, I thought of M and M's.

It is something to see them carrying food around.

This would be a nice haiku to put in a magazine.

Good luck in the contest.

lol. love the picture. It's amazing on how much an ant can do, or carry. They're one of nature's wonders. Hope the ant enjoys the chocolate. Very clever. Les

What a lovely subject to choose for this Haiku- insects. There is so much you could have written about the ant, their colony, working together, helping and supporting each other... but no, you chose something completely different and as well as being very well written, it did put a smile on my face. The amount of times l have put my ruck sack down whilst having a short rest and then finding a stray ant inside my bag. I used to think they were hitching a ride to a better place, but now l know the real reason. They were after my chocolate. Good luck in the contest. Loved it. Genya
