Thank you for this poem that recognizes our enthusiasm and the joy we experience thanks to fanstory.com. We find a freedom to experiment, test out new ideas, and if something does not go well, we always try again.

I like the assonance in old/globe
good long prose mile imagery
if one rides the - I am not a fan of leaving a line hanging with a word like hang for the sake of adhering to a form rule, like syllable count, or, in this case, the need to adhere to the acrostic spelling
nice alliteration in fun family
a good-natured look at our writing community in this acrostic for Fanstory

Thanks for your astute and kind review, dear B--and for only two cents. Much appreciated. I dislike acrostics but love how they challenge me to try to make them flow. I agree with you about the enjambment there, but this one is just a 'muse-exercise' right--a tribute only for FS and not for publishing. Thanks again! Love, rd

Nice Acrostic poem paying tribute to Fanstory. I appreciate the site and therefore the tribute. I am new to writing and just begun to explore the possibilities. I have been a member of FanArtReview for about a year. I know that I will enjoy my time here also.

Dear rd,
Love the "late night keyboard tappers". So descriptive of the addicts who occupy this site. Also love the internal rhymes that spring out at one when unexpected in what appears to be free verse.
Regards
Reg

Hi Rama D,
how could I not just love the sentiments wrapped up in this collective melody of community? Your flow as usual, is impeccable and the genuine tone just adds to the pleasure of your art.

At heart we are all just wanting to create at all levels of experience... the beautiful thing is... the family that helps, guides and loves unconditionally allows every one to benefit the personal growth within their art form... and yes dear Rama, that is Fanstory.

A wonderful entry into this contest... outstanding!

With our thoughts we create,
anything that is possible,
James xx

I fully share the sentiment expressed in the poem. I have been here for just six weeks and there is little doubt that Fanstory is a great place for writers. While writing a haiku or senryu, sometimes syllables overshoot aborting a take-off. In completing a 200- word story, the curtains come down before the show is over. But it is great fun.

This poem, perhaps the longest sentence in the world, describe some of what makes FS so special. Before internet, kindred spirits, who love writing and poetry could not connect it this way.

LOL--longest sentence in the world--that made me smile. I like to use enjambement for fluidity in acrostic styles. Indeed, internet inter-connectivity is amazing. Warmly, rd

Hi, RD

Complimentary acrostic, which spans the world with FanStory people. Fun and wonderful friendships found that otherwise would not. It's so true!

Great presentation. Good luck in the contest.

Cheers & Blessings

Thank you for the appreciation that you give to FS members; it makes me smile to have earned a small part of it and proud to be counted as one of the family.

So far, as I continue to view, review and comment on the writings, it has given me back more in the form of education, information and entertainment. Many times when I really devote my time to the poems and stories of these creative individuals, I feel I don't have enough time.

Such is the variety of topics discussed that by themselves one could have more than sufficiently desired.
