Very well written story. It held my interest to the end. The dialogue was well placed and seemed natural. It is a good inspirational story & I have to wonder if it was written from experience?

Hi lancellot,

The six is both for the story and the hope that Thomas will make it. Well done to you for making the extra effort and helping at least one kid make the change.

This is a great write. I like the topic, that was bought to the forefront. For, there are too many children who are forgotten about, and put into the system, by design. Nevertheless, the writer was very articulate and cunning about giving the youth hope. And i like that. Keep writing.

A powerful scene with hard ball back and forth dialogue molded inside a theme about second chances and better opportunities. It's done without the tone of nagging or judging.

Changing anything in your life is difficult, but not impossible. As the counsel said, brilliantly and plainly,"If you go back to your old neighborhood and gang, it's because you chose to. For the rest of your life don't you ever blame anyone, if you come back here."

Wonderful work. I'm not surprised it won.

I would not say yet if this is a success story. That remains to be seen later. But I proudly say and admit it is uplifting, inspiring, and promising.

Because this is Biographical Non-Fiction, I have full admiration for Mr. Franks. Would it be wishful thinking if I wish and pray may his tribe increase? We not only deserve but more importantly, need the likes of him. He has dealt with Thomas in a rough but caring way, with heart and compassion and blunt practicality.

Love it! So inspiring! Start to finish, I was IN! I watched Mr. Franks dole out a kind of tough love - so necessary at times - to an underdog. Would that there were countless more "Mr. Franks" throughout the world!! Be VERY proud of this!

It's the little victories that mean the most and helps us remember to look for the light in everyone. I see so many of them and wonder how their lives might have been different if someone, somewhere had given them a choice and a real chance. I will pray for him.

This was such a pleasure to read. In this world you have so many people making the wrong choices, and often times, need help, just someone who believes in them, or at least show that they care if they make it or not. Thank you for sharing and congratulation's!
