Your poem made me sad and happy at the same time. Happy that you gave all to your family and are blessed in return, sad if you don't just get on a plane and start painting Paris. Well, it doesn't have to be that extreme. Explore some of those dreams as much as you are capable.

Oh the mind numbing, heart rending, time wasting emotion of regret! It haunts and stalks the corridors of our past, teasing and tempting us to sorrow. It is a healthy thing to reflect on those choices that we DID make and to know with certainty that if was the right thing for us. Very well done.

Yes, I understand that what we wish for will at times not be given to us, therefore, we wish we had been different before all of this took place. But we dealt with our life the best that we could. And even though we were let down, we still managed it okay because of having our wonderful children and grandchildren, we are fulfilled. And beyond that, there's more good waiting for us!
