Brooke, I love everything about this positive poem. I like the reversing of the last line and I always like a poem that speaks to me. No matter what life throws at you, you are going to meet it head on. 8-)

If life is a drum is a very good piece of poetic art. I always like to read about life with musical interpretation in them. I think you have one line that needs a comma in it...
I plan to beat it if life is a drum. > Comma between it and if, as I read that with a natural pause there. That's my suggestion, if I'm wrong let me know...
