The image of the grass grows greener takes the reader to another place, one of peace and comfort. This is a fun poem to read out loud and just relax, almost like a poem for meditation.

It is so awesome god gave man the ability to love in so many different but important ways. I love the poem and its theme. God loves you and I do too.

A wonderful piece that captures the synergy between nature and love. There is a vibrancy and freshness about the poem. The imagery is stunning and I can see the greeness intensifying with every word. Well done, Brooke.

Everything about this poem inspires and looks ahead. 'Grass grows greener', 'you by my side', and 'hearts made whole' all wax positive.

What a sweet little girl Nora is. She is proud to have a baby brother like Sawyer and their love inspired you to write this cute little poem .This is a perfect love poem equally applicable to adults too.

Hello adewpearl, Brooke,

Your poem is beautifully stated from the heart, and its words ring true, especially:

The grass grows greener when we stride,
hand in hand, you by my side,

(So very, very true.)

And:
The grass grows greener where we stroll,
hand in hand, two hearts made whole,
hand in hand, just you and me,
making us the perfect.

(The perfect we, indeed.)

A poem of love ~ a poem from the heart. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Very special. I should imagine this friendship will last a lifetime. How precious, Brooke. Love the poem - especially 'the perfect we'. It's the perfect description for what these wonderful kids share. Also, it's nice to read something so sweetly positive. Lifts the spirit! I adore this photo as well. Thanks so much for sharing.

What an adorable little picture to accent your words - hand in hand indeed. Very sweet. Nice flow. Inventive rhyme scheme. Good job.

Yes, I am aware of this love affair (smile). Sawyer and Nora look so good together. I think, she is proud of her "little brother" and wants to tell the world about it.

I liked your refrain "grass is greener", with the bright emerald grass in the picture to fortify your words.

Your rhymes meter are spot on as usual; the iron meter is not intended in this poem, I guess. It all flows very naturally.

Delightful ending:

The grass grows greener where we stroll,
hand in hand, two hearts made whole,
hand in hand, just you and me,
making us the perfect we.

Thank you so much, Yelena. Last Friday when they were playing in a park they were joined by a couple of little boys, strangers, who were sharing Sawyer's sand toys with him. The boys were Nora's age. One of them informed Nora that he is Jewish and she told him she is Jewish too. She then added, but my little brother isn't Jewish - he's just normal. LOL Brooke
