the world can seem a lonely place/where smiles and laughs have gone astray/ till soon a friend is at the door/surprises happen everyday.
I have often marveled at the positive echoes that ring through out your poems, Brooke.Surprises happen on a day today basis in nature and they will in our life too, the secret is to have faith and look for the silver linings .Thank you for this poem (for all your poems for that matter!)

Another great photo Brooke that you have woven your kyrielle around, full of surprises.The seeds turn into meadows, the caterpillar/butterly as I read through it reminded me of natures wonders. Great finish off verse with the friend at your door.

Brooke, this was fantastic! I feel like I am at Topanga Beach right now, with your loved ones.
It was almost painful to look Andy all buried in sad but his head. Scary... (lol).
Excellent rhymes, meter and flow. Great visuals throughout.
A polliwog can't leave the creek,
no legs to help him leap and play,
but soon he changes to a frog --
surprises happen every day.
Loved your polliwog.
This brightened my day, it is such a positive poem.

Him and his dad describing sand castles and waterways to the sea. Truly perfection. Once again this was an honor to read.

Another well written poem with strong rhymes. I don't know much about this format but from what I've read this is a perfect piece. Great picture of the wee lad and his dad as always. Jaq xx
