I love the lesson of the ducks, who practice trust without even knowing that's what they're doing. And I love the picture of Sawyer enjoying the ducks. My parents used to take my children to see the "duckies" at the park, and it was one of their favorite things to do. Love, Jeanie

Thanks so much, Jeanie - I have a photo of me as a toddler with my brother-in-law by the local duck pond - it seems to be a scene played out by millions and millions over the generations :-) Brooke

Your well chosen words remind us that we have a choice when worry and anxiety start to wrap their ugly arms around us; one is to surrender and drown under their weight, the other is to embrace the joy and promise found in life and faith.

Very good. I enjoy this and the message it dispenses. It is hard for us, sometimes, to remember our feathers will keep us afloat! We just need to trust in that. Thanks

I think the animals and nature can teach us a lot if we would only take the time to really enjoy it. I enjoyed reading your wonderful poem.

Good abcb rhymes
How true, we can make the choice that you suggest in these lines--
Anxiety can rule our days
with worries it has brought us,
or we can live contentedly
with what the ducks have taught us.
Unique idea of using ducks to teach us a lesson

I wish I had a six for you. The message is clear - animals don't hesitate they just dive in. Humans cause their own anxiety by not trusting. I loved your poem and obviously so did all your readers! Well done Mrs Cygnet.

Kay, thank you so much, my friend :-) I asked Sawyer how he liked going to the doctor when we were on the phone this afternoon, and he told me, "Sawyer was crying." :-) Brooke

I loved the title of your poem, Brooke, and enjoyed your verses very much. Ducks are such fun to watch and I love when they dunk for food and stick their butts up in the air. I like that your poetry suggests so many things can teach us lessons we can use in our lives.
Smiles,

Just a happy group, meandering or floating together and stick like glue to their mates. Mind you the mallards especially, all look alike, so I guess it's easy to be beside another, any one will do.
great rhyming for words of wisdom
