Very well said in simple straightforward language. The voice of the child rings alive through your words in how important he feels this is. Or perhaps, just the joy of the task is all he wants! Who can really know a child's mind?

So cute the photo, so delightful the simple abcb rhymed verse. Spreading springtime, indeed. Nice alliteration in treasure transported, spreading springtime.

I like the first stanza best in your youthful poem about a simple pleasure which may be lost to us in adulthood. Brings back pleasant memories. don

Ah, someone is teaching Sawyer the joy of dandelions! I like your alliteration with treasure/transported, spreading/springtime. I like the imagery of golden carpets. Short and sweet!

I love your first two lines of treasure being transported in dandelion seeds. They do indeed transport treasure. Your flow of words and lines makes me feel good, spring will arrive yet.

This is simply charming, Brooke. I love the line: spreading springtime cheer. So original, so delightful. You always spread happiness and joy through your poetry. Hugs, Lou

Good use of alliteration in ,'treasure is transported' and spreading springtime cheer'. Our garden is awash with daffodils right now and we do root out dandelions but there is nothing more glorious than seeing lots of buttercups, daisies and dandelions growing wild - the little children's flowers.

Brooke, you have captured the whimsey in the heart of a child that sees the seeds as fascinating entertainment not caring how big people see weeds, but the beauty of a weed in a child's. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

Very true, I was reading the other night the amazing design of nature, that enables the transporting...loved the lightness, and of course, the vision of the dandelion carpet! Blessings tonight!
