Another winner, mikey. I like the way the dialogue carried this chapter. I know it's difficult to keep up with all the characters, but you're doing a great job with it.

Mikey, this is a solid installment with believable dialog coming from Ma and her advise is sound. The mystery if the so-called supply drop is a stunning turn of events. Great TZ moment. I don't know how you manage to keep two stories going successfully and try to review and respond, ya one-eyed cat watching two rat holes! LOL :0 GracieAnn

Way behind in responses. I think not knowing what the stories are about helps!! The other story really is off the top of my head. It really isn't rattling around like this one does. mikey

Interesting that the packages are empty, Mikey, and I have to say that Ma makes an awful lot of sense if the group wants to survive this ordeal before the government finally decides what to do with them all.

Yes. Ma is sticking in my head too as someone with a sensible outlook. I'm starting to see some direction with this, I think. mikey

Attacked with cargo- interesting. I wonder if the folks in a daze around the container or those scattered on the ground dead means that they contain some sort of pathogen.

Just a deadly poison I think. The attack was to lure them in to expose them and get the most bang for the buck. Not sure if the people in a daze will survive or not. Probably will, I think. Or maybe some will. Still working on it. mikey

Out of the frying pan, into the fire eh? That's not cool. Survive an attack on the camp, think you're getting supplies dropped to you, and suddenly find its like a giant practical joke. I'm curious if someone is going to come along and gather up these drugged people. This was a very interesting twist. I didn't see it coming. Good chapter.

I'm really intrigued by where this might be going. I still don't think Ma's dialogue rings true (for instance, would she say "to save his cowardly skin?") The plot, however, seems ingenious - can't wait to see where this will go!

I nodded in the affirmative - period after nodded and kill the rest. We know what a nod means.
I was going to pick a few other nits, but they were really more insignificant than that.
Good piece of writing

Interesting chapter with lots of discussion and action. I am not sure what the significance of the empty packages might be, maybe just a decoy to see who's out there and still alive. Good narrative and characterisations. Enjoyable as always, Faye
