We have tried to copy God. We made life better, then went beyond. We forgot to follow the rules of nature, let alone follow the rules of God. Our inventions have gotten to where they are luxuries. Great work. Good luck with the contest.

Dear poetess a lovely spiritual poem you have crafted here...I believe in Jesus but have to question who the Father really is...not that I do not have a belief system...it is just a need for further knowledge of the creator...is it a Him or a Her or stardust or a combination of both science and creation>?

Hello Christopher, With a name like that, no wonder you wonder about Jesus and/or the Trinity. Much has been crafted for us to read, man has written stories and myths. Still, my aboriginal people believe in the Great Spirit, Baiame, Creator of all living things. We believe that within every living creature - God dwells. We are only human and as such, need to have a belief system to hang on to - if we look at God as love (John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son...some believe these words because they are written in the Bible and the Holy Book is over 2.000 years old. My culture needs no book - we see the Creator all around us - in our animals, trees, clouds, rain and sun. Baiame, Great Creator, is divine spirit and thus has no gender. Great Spirit is pure energy which makes up all living things - and so we look to the Father of Life. Thanks for reading and a Happy Christmas. Hugs, Kay.

Yes, I do. I loved the way you stayed within the format yet also conveyed such an important message in such a spiritual and lyrical way. I thought a couple of the longest lines could be broken up to help the poem's overall flow. However, this was a lovely poem and I'm so glad you shared it.

The world is suffering because many people have fallen prey to the evildoers and have forsaken goodness. They have forgotten to nourish their souls in order to grow strong in faith.
