Ah! No sixes, and boy does this one deserve a six! You do such a great job of telling this story in poetic rhyme with great attention to detail. It is a funny story and one that seems like it could really happen. I loved reading it.

A loosely true story of how love blossom between a dog and a friend. She finally accept the love and they became friends. Dogs are usually friendly and loyal though some are suspiciously nervous of affection. A great stroy told in a simple form of love.

I agree - it would be a good and unique concept for a country song! Poor ole Minty! I sometimes think about that... the things animals are witness too... if only animals could talk. Perhaps, though, it's better that they don't?

This is really well done from start to finish and the picture of Mint Julep tells it all. It would be a good country song....again, one of my favorites as are boxer pups. I thank you for sharing the authors notes. They always help. I am glad so many reviewed and recognized this. Nice job.....a little sad.

LOL Very good, very funny. It reminds me of Ray Stevens in his heyday. You've done what a country artist should do: you've told a damn good story, and laced it with sadness and hope for the future. Get a tune to fit it!
