Loving the muffled moment

Hello amada,

I enjoyed reading your poem. It reads and flows well. I especially liked the following:

I like the way it clasps the totality of who I am
It pauses me into the muffled moment
And cast dreams of pink springs
In wan winter nights.

And yet some people would say

it's just a piece of yarn!
(Thought provoking ~ perspective is in the eye of the beholder, e.g. is it just an egg or the beginning of life.)

Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

amada, due to time restrictions, 99% of the time, I only read poetry. perhaps, one day when I no longer have to earn real world money, I can sit and enjoy reading FS stories all day long and into the early morning. Smiles, just sharing and trying to explain why I only read poetry. Sincerely, LateBloomer

I bet you are dangerous if you walk into a fabric/yarn store with any money in your pocket.... I am too. :) I like this piece a lot. Thank you for sharing it. :)

Who would think to see a poem about a ball of yarn? I like being surprised. You did a wonderful job with this poem. You have aptly described what wool is. Really love the first stanza re ball of yarn and calm. How true! Very nice Free Verse poem. Good choice of accompanying picture to go along with your poem too. Good luck with the contest!

Thank you Connie for commenting in my work, specially when you mention that you like to be surprised and my work did that. At the same time very welcome to fanstory.

This work has reached the exceptional level

What we've all thought throughout life but never thought to mention "There is something intrinsically calm in a ball of yarn " This is the mark to true art and true poetry.. Very well done. And then there's this which puts it on another level for phrasing and word choice "I like the way it clasps the totality of who I am
It pauses me into the muffled moment
And cast dreams of pink springs
In wan winter nights. You truly have the gift or "the disease" as I like to call it.. Very impressed with this..

Just a piece of yarn yet it dances into a blanket and other garments to keep you snug against the elements. Lol, hope the cat doesn't get to the ball of wool first. I liked the flow and the story. It is amazing to feel the yarn and watch it grow into a blanket. Well written. Best wishes for the contest. luv jada

Entrancing thoughts spin this "yarn."

It never gets tangled by shredded thought, but warms the mind with it's gentle threads. Very nice flow to conclusion.

Liked it much.

Although this piece doesn't rhyme, it still flows well. The message is clear and has a cute topic. My attention is held from beginning to end as the writer does a good job of describing the topic. Good job.

This poetry is glowing example of your wonderful
poetic mind. The flow is fluid and it holds the
reader's interest from start to finish. The images
that it creates are beautiful and profound. And,
all of this from just a of yarn. Thank You for
your creation.
